| Mr. Hawkins has represented
and advised a variety of businesses and individuals dealing in the
employment and personal injury areas of practice. Employment issues
include sexual harassment, age discrimination, disability discrimination,
race discrimination, gender discrimination, wage discrimination, wage
and hour, EDD hearings, government agency hearings, wrongful termination
in violation of public policy, and many other management and human
resources advising and decisional making processes. Injury issues
include motor vehicle accidents, motorcycle accidents, wrongful death,
premises liability and medical malpractice.
Mr. Hawkins received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science
from UCLA (University of California, Los Angeles) in 1993. Mr. Hawkins
went on to attend law school at Whittier Law School in Los Angeles
spending his time participating in mock trials and moot court competitions.
He earned his law degree and his California State Bar License in
1997 allowing him to practice before the Ninth Circuit Court of
Appeals and all state and federal courts in California. Mr. Hawkins
has clerked for the United States Attorneys Office, Organized Crime
Division and also for the Honorable Consuelo B. Marshall in the
United States District Court, Ninth Circuit, Central Division.
In Mr. Hawkins career, he has done many jury trials, bench
trials, both binding and non-binding arbitrations, mediations and
settlement conferences. Mr. Hawkins has lectured at Whittier Law
School about the practice and business aspects of being an attorney.
